Tonight, October 31, 2020, the ICARUS Awards Ceremony took place on the stage of the Ivan Vazov National Theater.

The ICARUS 2020 award in the category “Best Puppet Show“, broadcast by the Artists’ Guild, was presented to Pinocchio (State Puppet Theater – Ruse, directed by Todor Valov).

The ICARUS 2020 award in the category “Achievement in Puppetry” went to Milen Apostolov for the music in the play “To put it mildly” (State Puppet Theater – Stara Zagora, directed by Cveti Penyashki) and the music in the play “Paper Stories” (Foundation Theatre Corsair), directed by Dimitar Stefanov.

The ICARUS 2020 award in the category “Scenography” went to Marieta Golomehova for the scenography in the play “The Last Man”, based on George Orwell’s novel “1984”, (State Puppet Theatre – Stara Zagora, directed by Veselka Kuncheva)
